The English-Taught Master Program of Northeast Asian Studies College

Jilin University has a long history in northeast Asian studies. In April 1994, Jilin University merged Japan Research Institute, Korea and Korea Research Institute, Russia Research Institute, Population Research Institute, Tumen River International Development Research Institute and Regional Economic Research Institute to establish Northeast Asian Studies College.

 

In October 1999, Northeast Asian Research Center of Jilin University was established on the basis of Northeast Asian Studies College. In December 1999, Northeast Asian Research Center of Jilin University was approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China as one of the first batch of 15 Key Research Centers in Humanities and Social Sciences in general institutions of higher learning, and was rated as excellent Key Research Center in Humanities and Social Sciences in November 2009.

 

In June 2011, Jilin University established the "Northeast Asian Regional Research Collaborative Innovation Center" based on the Northeast Asian Studies College, aiming to enhance the comprehensive innovation ability of major issues research, talent cultivation and discipline development in Northeast Asia through the complementary advantages and collaborative cooperation of domestic and foreign research institutions.

 

Northeast Asian Studies College is committed to promoting various forms of international exchanges and cooperation. At present, it has signed exchange agreements with universities and research institutions in the United States, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, Russia, Mongolia and other countries to promote the study of northeast Asian issues by exchanging scholars and students, conducting joint research, exchanging materials, and jointly organizing international academic conferences.

 

After years of development and given full play to the advantages of multidisciplinary comprehensive research in the fields of economy, politics, history and social development in northeast Asia, Northeast Asia Studies College gradually grows into a professional research center with a focus on international studies, interdisciplinary research, and has great influence at home and abroad centering on the major theoretical and practical issues in northeast Asia.

I. Introduction of the Project

This English teaching project mainly focuses on the study of relevant theories of China's economic development, economic policy and practical knowledge, guiding students to have a comprehensive understanding of China's economic development, China's regional development, the theory, policy and practice experience of China's participation in international regional cooperation to finally cultivate professional high-quality talents with international vision of China's economy.

2. Recruitment level: Postgraduate students

4. Program Duration: Postgraduate Study for 2 years

5. Degree Conferment: master of economics

6.Training Direction: Chinese Economy, Chinese Regional Development, Northeast Asian Regional Economy, Population, Resources and Environment

1. 30 postgraduates.

2. Meet the requirements of the college's training objectives and requirements for knowledge, ability and quality.
