On October 16^th, 2020, the Northeast Asian Studies College, the Northeast Asian Research Center,Institute of Korean Peninsula Studies, the East Asian Research Institute and the China Research Institute of Dongseo University, jointly organized the 4^thChina-South Korea Northeast Asia Cooperation Seminar. The seminar is themed "The Situation on the Korean Peninsula and the Relationship between China and the Korean Peninsula".

    Nearly 20 scholars from the Northeast Asian Studies College and School of Administration of Jilin University, East Asian Studies College of Shandong University, and Dongseo University, Asan Research Institute, Inje University, Busan Research Institute, Korea-China Future Research Institute of South Koreaattended the seminar. A former diplomatgave the opening speech. Two topics including "Development Prospects of the Situation on the Korean Peninsula" and "Relations between China and the Korean Peninsula" were discussed in the seminar.

    This seminar is the fourth academic conference jointly organized by the Northeast AsianStudies College of Jilin University and the China Research Institute of Dongseo University since May 2017 the two parties signed a memorandum for cooperation. The conference was successfully held under the influence of COVID-19 epidemic. Both parties expressed their praise and emphasized the importance to strengthen the lasting and in-depth cooperation between the two institutions.
